Dulin House

Description

This landscape depicts a military encampment during the Mexican-American War (1846-1848). The Dulin House, formerly at 107 West Monument Street, Baltimore, Maryland is featured in the background on the right of the composition while multiple tents are pitched in a field to the left. The Washington Monument is seen at left rising up into the cloudy blue sky that comprises the top half of the composition. A small group of people in military uniforms stands in the foreground looking on at the scene.
