Tea tin labelled "Banquet/ Extra Fancy/ Blended/ (Green and Black)/ Tea/ McCormick & Co./ Baltimore, U.S.A." For decades, Baltimore's McCormick and Co. has been synonymous with tea and spices. The company began selling tea in 1905 and became one of the earliest producers of tea bags. By the 1940s, McCormick owned numerous brands and distribution rights across the United States. During the 1990s, the company expanded internationally. Today, the company maintains its headquarters in Hunt Valley, Maryland.
