Football

Description

On November 30, 1958, the Baltimore Colts hosted the San Francisco 49ers at Baltimore’s Memorial Stadium. During the game, quarterback Johnny Unitas threw a pass that slipped off the hands of wide receiver Lenny Moore and into the hands of season ticket holder Frederick A. Waldecker (1935–2015) who was sitting in the first row. Down by 20 points at half time, the Colts stormed back in the second half, winning 35–27, and securing their first ever division title. This official NFL “The Duke” football bears the signatures of Colts players Ordell Braase, Andy Nelson, Alex Sandusky, Johnny Unitas, Jim Mutscheller, Art Donovan, Jim Parker, and others.
