Description

A pamphlet created by the American Anti-Slavery Society to explain its beliefs to the public. The pamphlet includes the society's "Constitution" and "Declaration of Sentiments," followed by an "Exposition of the Anti-Slavery Platform." The pamphlet's introduction explains its purpose by stating, “The documents herewith submitted will, it is believed, be deemed a sufficient answer to those who are attempting to destroy its influence by falsely representing it to be a ‘jacobinic’ and ‘infidel’ association.”
