The Strawberry Checkout

Description

Willums has recaptured his own life experiences growing up in the rural eastern shore of Maryland in the 1930's and 1940's as a young migrant laborer. He additionally described the experience of picking strawberries as part of this piece. He notes that the field boss Mister Cigar paid the workers with tickets.
