Sterling silver humidor presented to Clarence W. Miles (1897-1977) following the move of the former St. Louis Browns to Baltimore. Miles was the first president and chairman of the board of the Baltimore Orioles after his efforts brought a baseball team to the city in 1954. The humidor, engraved with the names of different members of the Orioles organization, commemorated the first home game of the team, which took place on April 15, 1954 at Memorial Stadium against the Chicago White Sox in front of 46,000 fans. The Orioles won 3-1.
