The charge of the First Maryland Regiment at the death of Ashby

Description

Depiction of the First Maryland Regiment's charge at Harrisonburg, Virginia, during the American Civil War. The charge resulted in Confederate cavalry commander Turner Ashby, Jr.'s death. A description of the June 6, 1862 event is printed beneath the image. The print was originally produced to raise funds for a monument in Baltimore to the Maryland Line in the Confederate States of America.
