Patterson Viaduct, Baltimore and Ohio Railroad

Description

A print depicting the Patterson Viaduct, which once spanned the Patapsco River in Ilchester, Maryland. The viaduct was built as part of the Baltimore & Ohio Railroad's Old Main Line in 1829 but was severely damaged by a flood in the 1860s and eventually replaced by other bridges. This print is captioned "for the Methodist Protestant."
