Description

Bronze commemorative medallion produced for the National Star Spangled Banner Centennial, 1914, designed by sculptor Hans Schuler (1874-1951), and produced by the Whitehead & Hoag Company of Newark, New Jersey. During the week of September 6-13, 1914, the city of Baltimore held a celebration of Francis Scott Key, the Star Spangled Banner, and the victory over the British during the Battle of Baltimore in 1814.
