Description

An inverted photostat from an original map of the state of Maryland. The map depicts the entire state of Maryland, including cities, towns, counties, and bodies of water, along with parts of Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, and Virginia. An inset on the left depicts a "continuation of the Potowmac River, from Fort Cumberland." The map was "engraved for Carey's American Edition of Guthrie's Geography improved" and has a scale of approximately 1:770,000.
