Cecilia Eliza Levy (1830-1916) and Fanny Emma Levy (1831-1895) were the daughters of David Cordoza Levy of Charleston, South Carolina and Philadelphia. In 1850, Cecilia married Israel Cohen (1820-1873) of Baltimore. They were parents to: Benjamin I. (1852-1915); Maria (1853-); Kitty (1854-); Georgie (1853-1871); Eleanor Septima (1858-1937); Joshua I. (1860-1885); and Anna Maria (1863-1891).

In 1854, Fanny married Columbus Moise (1809-1872) of Charlottsville, Virginia. They were parents to: Columbus (1855-1895), married Sophia Dunlap; Lionel (1856-1903), married Laura Crompton; Anna Maria (1855-1917), married Joseph Hymen; Walter (1860-1916); Algernon Sydney (1862-1925), married Mary Helen Williams; and Frances Emma (1869-1948), married Edwin Warren de Leon.
