Portrait of Frisby Tilghman

Description

Cased daguerreotype portrait of Frisby Tilghman, a Maryland native and member of the prominent eastern shore family. Tilghman served as a Lieutenant Colonel in the Maryland Dragoons during the War of 1812, fighting in the Battles of Bladensburg and North Point in 1814.
