Table, Sofa

Description

Baltimore Empire sofa or library table with drop leaves. Original to Laurel Hill, a house near Natchez, Mississippi, owned by Dr. William Newton Mercer (1792-1878), who was born in Maryland. Owner of the table may have been Mrs. E. Young of Natchez.
