Sarah Middleton Barclay Haskins (Mrs. Joseph Haskins)

Oil on canvas portrait painting of Sarah Middleton Barclay Haskins (Mrs. Joseph Haskins) (1771-1820), ca. 1790, by Charles Willson Peale. Sarah was the daughter of Rev. John Barclay ( -1772), rector of St. Peter's Parish Church in Talbot County, Maryland. In 1788, Sarah married Joseph Haskins (1762-1826) a longtime cashier at the Farmers Bank of Maryland in Easton, Talbot County, Maryland. They had three children. Sarah sat for this painting at "East Otwell", a plantation in Oxford, Tablot County, Maryland.
