Louis Charles Pascault

Description

Watercolor on paper miniature of Louis Charles Pascault (1790-1867), undated, by an unattributed artist. Pascault was a Baltimore businessman and served as a Captain during the Mexican-American War. He was the son of The Marquis de Poleon, Jean Charles Marie Louis Felix Pascault, d'Aunis et de Saintagney (ca. 1749-1824) and his wife Mary Magdalene Slye (1756-1830). In 1811, he married Ann E. Goldsborough (1787-1855), daughter of Howes and Rebecca Goldsborough, of " Pleasant Valley," Talbot County.
