West Baltimore suffragists gathered for a visit with Margaret Murray Washington (second from right, in velvet and pearls). Washington was an educator and activist who, while married to Booker T. Washington, played a significant role in the administration of Tuskegee University. The individuals on Washington's left are believed to be Ida Cummings, Minnie Gaines, and Bertha Hurst (left to right), with Estelle Young on her right.
