Portrait of Joseph Hopper Nicholson

Description

Miniature side-profile bust-length portrait of Joseph Hopper Nicholson (1770-1817). He has light brown hair and wears a brown coat with white cravat. Nicholson was a close friend of Francis Scott Key (1779-1843) and ran an artillery company during the War of 1812.
