Box, Collar

Description

Hutzler's collar box, featuring fleur-de-lis design with a medallion in the center with "Collars" at center. There is a metal rim around the edge of the lid. The address of the One Price House, 67 N. Howard Street, Baltimore, Maryland, is on the bottom of this box. In 1888, Hutzler's moved from 67 N. Howard St. to the 200 block of N. Howard St.

This item was donated to the Hutzler Brothers Company Archives by Mr. Philip Harry Foxman (1885-1955) of 2902 Clifton Avenue, Baltimore, Maryland. Philip Harry Foxman was born in Russian in 1885 before his family emigrated to Baltimore in 1887. He was involved in the furniture business, died in 1955, and is buried in Hebrew Friendship Cemetery.
