Badge

Description

A 1920 Delegate badge for the 1920 Democratic National Convention, which was held in San Francisco from June 28-July 6. President Thomas Jefferson (1743-1826) is featured on the medal. The party nominated Governor James M. Cox of Ohio as their Presidential candidate and Assistant Secretary of the Navy Franklin D. Roosevelt as Vice Presidential candidate. The party adopted the League of Nations and Woman's Suffrage as part of their platform and their ticket ultimately lost to Warren G. Harding in the national election.
