Plan of the Second Floor and Elevation of the Principal Front No. 1. U.S. Capitol Drawing Competition

Description

Architectural plan for the proposed design of the U.S. Capitol Building made for the U.S. Capitol Drawing Competition held in 1792. The drawing features the front façade of a building with a central protruding entrance topped by a pediment and flanked by wings on both sides. The bottom half of the drawing shows the corresponding floor plan for the second floor of the building.
