Old Defenders of the Battle of Baltimore

Description

Group portrait of veterans from the War of 1812. The veterans were known as the Old Defenders of the Battle of Baltimore, which occurred on September 12, 1814. The group of men is seated before a set of stairs at the Mansion House in Druid Hill Park, Baltimore, Maryland, and each holds a top hat in his lap and cane in hand.
