(Baltimore, March 20, 2020) As we continue to face these challenging times together, the Maryland Historical Society* is finding new ways to bring Maryland history to you, and to continue its 175-year-legacy of collecting history, during this unprecedented time. MdHS is now crowd-sourcing for a new initiative – Collecting in Quarantine – to ensure future generations have a reference point for this pivotal moment in history as we navigate the novel coronavirus/COVID-19:
Some of MdHS’s submissions to the Collecting in Quarantine initiative will become part of future collections. One hundred years from now, present-day essays and photographs will grant historical perspective for the next challenge to the nation.
