Reciprocal Benefits

Your History, Your Way

The Maryland Center for History and Culture (MCHC) partners with multiple museums and organizations locally and nationwide to offer our members free/discounted admission prices, museum store discounts, and event ticket discounts to museums and historical sites across the country. When planning to visit a reciprocal site, always remember to bring your MCHC membership card and call ahead to discuss the specific reciprocal benefits.

Participating Reciprocal Programs

The Maryland zoo in baltimore

The Maryland Zoo is offering free admission for all MCHC members from June 1, 2022 through July 31, 2022. Admission is granted to two adults and two children or one adult and three children, for a maximum of four member guests. (Children under age 3 are always admitted for free and will not apply toward the four-guest maximum). Please bring your active MCHC membership card when visiting The Maryland Zoo during the reciprocal months. Learn more about The Maryland Zoo in Baltimore’s visiting information here.


time travelers

All MCHC members, regardless of membership level, have access to over 300 historical museums, sites, and societies through the Time Traveler’s nationwide reciprocal membership network. Learn more about Time Travelers here.


NORTH AMERICAN RECiPROCAL MUSEUM (NARM) ASSOCIATION

MCHC Members with an active Leadership membership (Steward, Patron, or Sustainer) or Giving Circle membership (The Collectors Circle, The Historians Circle, The President’s Circle, or The Founders Circle) have reciprocal access across the country to over 1,000 art museums and galleries, historical museums and societies, botanical gardens, zoos, children’s museums, and more through the NARM reciprocal network. GREATER BALTIMORE HISTORY ALlIANCE (GBHA)

MCHC Members with an active Leadership membership (Steward, Patron, or Sustainer) or Giving Circle membership (The Collectors Circle, The Historians Circle, The President’s Circle, or The Founders Circle) can visit participating museums in the Greater Baltimore area through the GBHA Reciprocal Pass Program. To receive free admission at a participating museum, visitors must show their GBHA Reciprocal Membership Card and MCHC membership card. Visitors should also be prepared to show a picture ID. COUNCIL OF AMERICAN MARITIME MUSEUMS (CAMM)

MCHC Members with an active Leadership membership (Steward, Patron, or Sustainer) or Giving Circle membership (The Collectors Circle, The Historians Circle, The President’s Circle, or The Founders Circle) have free admission to over 90 maritime museums in The Council of American Maritime Museum’s nationwide network. Reciprocal Visitors to MCHC

Visitors with a reciprocal membership benefit through the Time Travelers, North American Reciprocal Museum (NARM) Association, Greater Baltimore Historical Alliance (GBHA), or the Council of American Maritime Museums (CAMM) are granted free admission to the Maryland Center for History and Culture’s Museum and Library. Membership cards must be active and presented at the time of visit.
