Oil on canvas landscape painting of "A Maryland Farm, Gray Day", December 1930, by Benson Bond Moore (1882-1974). Moore, born in Washington, D.C., was a talented artist who typically created etchings and engravings for books and other publications. He lived in the capital for his entire life. This scene was likely captured near Mt. Rainier, Maryland, in Prince George's County, where his parents lived for many years.
