Among the flowers at Tolchester Park

Description

Approximately 30 adults and children in a garden at the Tolchester Beach Amusement Park in Tolchester, Maryland. The Tolchester hotel stands on the left of the garden. The Kent County park consisted of a bathing beach, amusement park, racetrack, and hotel, and operated from 1877 to 1962. It was a popular vacation destination for Baltimoreans as it was only 27 miles across the Chesapeake Bay, and the Tolchester Steamboat Company ran daily excursions to Tolchester from Baltimore, Maryland.
