Baltimore Harbor Tunnel

Description

View of the Baltimore Harbor Tunnel's southwestern entrance. The 1.4-mile-long tunnel runs beneath the Patapsco River from its south shore to its north shore near Dundalk in Baltimore, Maryland. The tunnel consists of a pair of two lane roads that measure 22 feet wide and 14 feet high. The tunnel and approaches were designed by Singstand and Baillie, a New York based engineering firm specializing in tunnel design, in conjunction with J. E. Greiner, Co. of Baltimore.
