Basilica Cathedral, Baltimore

Description

Watercolor by the "Father of American Architecture" Benjamin Henry Boneval Latrobe (1764-1820) of the Baltimore Basilica, the first Catholic Cathedral constructed in the United States. Designed by Latrobe, it was constructed from 1806-1821.
