Bay View Asylum and Alms House

Description

A view of the Bay View Asylum and Alms House located at Eastern Avenue and 16th Street, Baltimore, Maryland. The three-story, domed building opened in 1866 to treat the sick and mentally ill, and eventually became the Johns Hopkins Bayview Hospital.
