Colonel William H. Watson

Description

Full-length standing portrait of Colonel William H. Watson of the Columbian Fire Company. He is pictured wearing a black suit with tan stock and a white shirt. He holds a rolled document in his proper right hand, while his left hand rests on book on table covered with a green tablecloth. A blue hat with a red rim sits on the table. Watson stands atop a colorful floral carpet and underneath the swag of a red curtain. He was killed at Monterey, Mexico on September 21, 1846.
