Competition Entry for the U.S. Capitol, Front Elevation

Description

Frontal elevation of a proposed Capitol building depicting a three-story building with central portico and steeple and statues lining the gabled roof. Two entrances are seen on either side of the portico. A clock sits under the steeple and a chimney appears at either side of the roof. Made for the Capitol Drawing Competition held by the United States government in 1792.
