Three-quarter-length portrait of Daniel Carroll II (1730-1796) of Upper Marlboro, or Rock Creek. He is depicted standing with one hand on his hip wearing an ivory silk satin waistcoat and a teal coat with lace cuffs. His dark hair is worn in a braid.
