Rose silk faille dress with matching cape.
Dress: 18 inches (shoulder), 55.5 inches (skirt length), 25 inches (bust), 22.5 inches (waist); Cape: 14.5 inches (length)
Originally constructed in the 1830s and then altered in the 1840s. Alterations include lengthening the skirt and adding padding in the bodice's back to disguise the unknown wearer's scoliosis.
