Dress

Description

Adina Mae Via Robinson’s (1937–1966) love for sewing is reflected in this dress. Robinson added her own stylish touches with her choice of a floral and umbrella patterned fabric and two large, faux pearl buttons for the back closure. Not only representative of the larger trend of home-sewn clothing, Robinson’s dress speaks of her own family’s traditions and culture of frugality.
