Dress

Description

Cotton dress designed by Claire McCardell (1905-1958) which uses a textile print designed by Pablo Picasso (1881-1973) for Townley (manufacturer). The pumpkin orange frock features a full knee-length skirt, scoop neck, three-quarter sleeves, and a button-down front. Born in Frederick, Maryland, McCardell pioneered the creation of casual, comfortable American sportswear for women.
