Exterior of Wyman Villa

Description

View of the exterior of Wyman Villa. This house was built for William Wyman (1825-1903) and was located on the western edge of the Johns Hopkins University Homewood campus in Baltimore, Maryland. An example of Italianate architecture, it was designed by architect Richard Upjohn (1802-1878) and was constructed in 1853. After the death of Mr. Wyman's daughter in 1949, the house fell into disrepair and was razed in 1955.
