Henrietta Barroll to Elleonora Barroll, discussing Elleonora's daughter being very ill, and how her husband was in exile. Elleonora Barroll's husband, John Leeds Barroll, was in the Confederate capitol Richmond, Virginia after having to leave Maryland because of his publishing a newspaper article that was found treasonous by federal authorities. The Barroll family was a prominent Kent County family in the 19th and 20th centuries.
