John Street row homes, Baltimore, Maryland
These nine row homes (1203-1219) are located on the east side of John Street between Dolphin Street and Lanvale Street in the Bolton Hill neighborhood of Baltimore, Maryland. In 1881, developer Laurence Turnbull commissioned contractor Samuel Black to build a row of three-story brick houses. These would be collectively known as Carroll Terrace. Houses numbered 3, 7, 11, 15 and 19 are gabled Eastlake structures, while houses numbered 5, 9, 13 and 17 are dormered edifices.
