Jug

Description

Enslaved workers at Melinda’s Prospect farm in Cockeysville, Maryland made this large jug in an ancient, tradition African style. It is traditionally is carried on head and used to transport water. It represents a survival of cultural and craft traditions passed through generations of enslaved communities.
