Description

A letter from Nanticoke chiefs Cornelius Anderson, John Williams, and William Longfish to Maryland House of Delegates member William A. Stewart (spelled "Steward"). The letter was written by James N. Cusick, a "Nanticoke interpreter," on behalf of Nanticoke tribal leadership in New York and Canada. The letter was written in response to a rejected petition to the Maryland Legislature and requests further review of tribal claims for payment.
