Description

Display of fashion designer Claire McCardell's (1905-1958) clothing designs at a Lord & Taylor department store. The signage reads “A retrospective exhibition--Claire McCardell clothes, from 1933 to 1953." Born in Frederick, Maryland, McCardell pioneered the creation of casual, comfortable American sportswear for women.
