Description

American Total Abstinence Society medal with pierced hole at top. The front features a central shield is topped with a cross and emblazoned with the abstinence symbol of a lamb holding a flag and the initials "IHS." A male allegorical figure holding a flag labelled "Sobriety" stands to the left while a female allegorical figure holding a flag labelled "Domestic Comfort" stands to the right. The back features a sobriety pledge inside the shape of a cross.

MATHEW, PRESIDENT."
