Medal, Commemorative

Description

Medallion with the image of a mother seated with a small child standing before her underneath a large sun in low relief on the front. A basket full of fruit sits on the ground behind the pair of figures. The back side contains a lengthy inscription beginning with the phrase "To abstinence." This medal commemorates the mission of the Temperance Society in Maryland. A small hole is pierced through the top of the medal.
