Naomi, the Artist’s Sister

Oil on canvas portrait painting of Naomi N. Glushakow Denenberg (1928-2011), April 1958, by Jacob Glushakow. Naomi was born in Baltimore to Russian immigrants and one of the couple's ten children. On June 22, 1958, she married Herbert Sidney Denenberg (1929-2010) at her parent home on Annellen Road in Baltimore. This portrait was painted by her older brother just two months before her wedding.
