People stand in front of the building alongside horses, wagons, and barrels. A sign that runs underneath the roof lists a number of southern cities. Two steamships are located alongside the pier at rear. Piedmont Air-Line Railway was part of the Southern Railway, and steamers from this location connected with railroads in Virginia.
