He married Hannah Maria Van Vliet (1809-1885) in 1832, and the couple were parents to: Alvin (1833-1836); Mary Ellen (1838-1926), married Lewis Bower; Catherine Ann (1840-1868); and Alvin (1843-1904), married Mary Lawrence. Isaac and his family moved to Baltimore in the 1850s.

Daguerreotype portrait of Isaac Coriell (1809-1882), a Baltimore contractor.
