Daguerreotype portrait of Reverend John Mason Duncan (1790-1851), a Baltimore clergyman. He served as pastor of the Associate Reformed Church, Baltimore, from 1812 to his death in 1851. In 1815 he married Elizabeth McKim (1797-1855), daughter of John McKim, Jr., of Baltimore. The couple's children were: John McKim (1919-1860); Eliza (1820-1870), married George Ross Veazey; Helen Mason (1825-1875); Margaret; Emily (1835-); and Jane (1838-).
