Daguerreotype portrait of Robert Vanderburgh McKim (1841-1915), age 10. McKim was a Baltimore physician who served as a military surgeon in the Civil War and later as brigade surgeon of the New York National Guard. In 1858 he married Mary Shroeder Albert (1844-1907), the daughter of Jacob Albert (1788-1854) of Baltimore. They were parents to: Robert Albert (1863-1920), married Caroline Remison; Mary Albert (1865-1929), married George Cobb Wilde; Albert Vanderburgh (1867-1909); Susan Isabel (1869-1872); William Julius Albert (1870-1932), married Maud Lee; Charlotte Albert (1872-1881); and Augustus Albert (1875-1879).
