This Colt Police Pocket Model of 1862, serial # 26358, was manufactured in 1864. It is cambered in .36 caliber and carried six rounds. It was purchased by Edwin W. Moffett following his promotion to 1st Lieutenant in 1864. Edwin served in many engagements such as Mine Run, The Wilderness, Spotsylvania, Cold Harbor, Petersburg, Five Forks, and Appomattox. Along the way, he was promoted to 1st Lieutenant and later Captain.
