T-Shirt

Description

T-shirt with a caricature of Spiro T. Agnew (1918-1996) on a clock face with his hands indicating the time 3:10 in red, blue and purple ink. Baltimore County native Spiro Agnew was elected Baltimore County Executive in 1962 and Republican Governor of Maryland in 1966. Agnew's selection as the vice-presidential candidate by Richard Nixon (1913-1994) and election victory in 1968 made Agnew a national figure. This shirt was purchased by the donor at a Hecht's department store.
