Table, Sewing

Description

Work table, likely used for sewing, labeled by Baltimore, Maryland, furniture maker John Needles (1786-1868). It features two drawers atop four curved and reeded legs on brass eagle casters and is made of mahogany with poplar and maple inlay. Needles was a Quaker, abolitionist, and maker of fine furniture.
